Jigsaw Medical is delighted to welcome Gary Ashby to the Jigsaw Academy team.
We’re closing in on an incredible year first 6 months of 2017 at Jigsaw but after an exciting and successful first half of the year, Jigsaw Medical is happy to announce the appointment of Gary Ashby as Head of Education at the Jigsaw Academy.
Gary joins Jigsaw having started working in the Ambulance service in 1995 on PTS and then A&E duties in West Cheshire. After working in a variety of roles from Community Responder Manager and Community Paramedic, Gary made the move to education with NWAS as their Clinical Training Officer for the Cheshire area. Before joining Jigsaw, Gary was a freelance clinical tutor all over the UK working with trusts (YAS, EEAST, NWAS, EMAS) and private companies, and with a variety of different clinical grades from ECAs up to Paramedics.
At Jigsaw Gary will be responsible for supporting the Director of the Academy with running the education centre, as well as helping develop the courses for the Academy and creating bespoke training needs for workplaces, schools, education services and the industry.
Gary had the following to say about his new role at Jigsaw:
“I’ve always loved seeing new students from the start of a course, whether that be FAW to Paramedic, seeing them grow and develop into great thinking clinicians is a great feeling. I’m ways open to new ideas, and I’m looking forward to developing the Academy for all to use and be a place of clinical excellence, where Jigsaw Medical is known for delivering strong, solid professional courses which are always current and fit for purpose for the pre-hospital sphere in the UK and beyond.”
