Jigsaw Work Experience

For the last 2 weeks we have a lovely student, Ellie, from Tarporley high school at Jigsaw House gaining some invaluable work experience. As well as spending time with all of members of the Jigsaw Medical team Ellie also gained some valuable first aid experience and even got to attend Bolesworth International show-jumping event as part of #TeamJigsaw. Ellie also co-wrote a blog post about the stresses of work on Jigsaw Connect.

We caught up with Ellie this morning (her last day) to get to know her a bit more and see if she has enjoyed her time with #TeamJigaw…

Have you enjoyed your time with Jigsaw Medical?

Yes, it has been really interesting to see how the company is run and to experience the unique office environment that Team Jigsaw has created here.

What was your favourite part of the 2 weeks?

I didn’t really have a favourite part of the two weeks as I found it all enjoyable! I got to do different things every day, allowing me to get a full understanding of the company; from accounts to putting up a medic tent at an event, they were all valuable experiences.

Was working for Jigsaw what you expected?

Definitely not, it was a surprise to experience what working for Jigsaw Medical would be like as I was expecting a typical office environment, but it isn’t one. Everyone is so friendly and relaxed; it creates a fun, inspirational, atmosphere, and encourages people to do their best as they are all enthusiastic and invested in the success of the company. This combined with a real passion in what they do make for a great working environment.

Did you get everything you wanted from your time at Jigsaw?

Yes, it has been really fun to work at jigsaw for these past two weeks, it’s allowed me to see the innovative way the company is run and inspire me to see office life from a new angle; that it doesn’t always have to be tedious paper work!

I would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has worked with me on my work experience at jigsaw medical, to Abi for organising my placement here and for being so welcoming. I wish the company and its’ staff all the best in the future.

From everyone at Jigsaw we’d like to thank Ellie for being a fantastic worker for the last 2 weeks, if you need a job when you leave school you know where to come!

Meet #TeamJigsaw

As it is Ellie’s last day it would only be right that she was a #TeamJigsaw member of the week, so we asked her 3 random questions to get to know her more…

What is your favourite song?

Either..

or…

What is your favourite film?

Flipped (not sure if I’m showing my age but I’d never heard of…)

If you were stranded on a desert island what book would you take with you?

The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart

Jigsaw Birthday

Today see’s one of #TeamJigsaw’s compliance team turn 49 (definitely not 50!) So on behalf of everyone at Jigsaw we would like to wish Claire Rowland a very happy birthday.

And in other news…

Nasir Sobhani, or the Street Barber as he is better known might just be one of the nicest barbers you’ll ever meet. After completing a working week most people would relax at the weekend, not the Street Barber. He spends his weekend giving haircuts to homeless people.

The documentary below from the guys and girls at PLGRM documents his story. Take a look.
