Jigsaw Medical Services are pleased to be supporting the Tour de France Grand Départ 2014 in Yorkshire on the 5th & 6th July.
We will be supporting the first aid providers, NHS ambulance service and the event medical management company (Venture EMM) in the provision of 227 Paramedics, Nurses & Doctors throughout this extraordinary event. The TDF is the world’s largest single sporting event and is set to attract over 3 million people to the region throughout the Grand Depart event.
“We are pleased to have been selected to provide a large proportion of the medical cover for the Tour de France at this historical and high-profile event. We have put in place an experienced team to manage this huge project and deliver exceptional care during this very busy weekend for the Yorkshire region.” – Chris Percival, Managing Director
Our Health Care Professionals will be working with hundreds of first aiders and ambulance crews to provide advanced life support (ALS) and enhanced care to the crowds attending across the route. We have nearly 100 ALS immediate care bags in the possession of all Paramedics & Doctors, enabling them to provide the very best in immediate clinical care during the weekend. Additionally, our Jigsaw Medical Operations Centre (JMOC) will be providing clinical support services, led by our Medical Director Dr Wassim Shamsuddin and co-ordinating logistics support teams to maintain this enhanced level of cover.
