  • This is for:

    This course is for anyone who needs training in how and when to use an auto injector in the treatment of anaphylaxis.

  • Objectives:

    Prevention, recognition and treatment of severe allergic reaction including the use of auto-injectors and CPR.

  • Certification:

    A 1 year Certificate of Competence will be awarded on successful completion of the course and assessment.

Course Summary

Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction and is potentially life threatening. It normally occurs after someone with a severe allergy is exposed to the substance they are allergic to (normally a food, insect sting or medicine). This short, 3 hour course is designed to provide the candidate with the competence and skill to deliver immediate treatment to people suffering from anaphylaxis. It is delivered by experienced and professional clinical training staff in a relaxed yet informative manner.
