Why did you take the role?
I was looking for a new challenge within a dynamic setting, the role allows my entrepreneurial flare to be useful in a business that has growth at the forefront of its culture. Talking of culture, our people first is a mantra I believe in and is fundamental within the company. I believe I can contribute not only to the clinical excellence development of our company but also assists in its commercial growth.
What will your role entail?
As part of the Senior Management Team, answering Directly to the Managing Director & CEO – Chris Percival, I’m responsible for all things clinical, developing clinical excellence, development of clinicians, Medicines management, clinical governance, clinical support and appraisals to name a few.
Do you have plans for the future?
My primary focus is building a team of clinical mentors to support all grades of clinical staff working across our contracts. Ensuring frameworks for supporting Student and Newly Qualified Clinicians. Building an academic framework to evidence the competencies we are developing and maintaining evidence of compliance, whilst maintaining a robust clinical governance strategy.
