For those living under a proverbial rock, Jigsaw Medical is proud to be one of the key sponsors of this year’s Virgin STRIVE Challenge. We have written numerous blogs about our involvement already, so we won’t go into massive detail about it, however, we can confirm that our Compliance Manager, Jan has fantastically decided to take part and complete the 1st stage of this year’s cycle part of the challenge.
For those of that don’t know, the challenge is completed to raise money and awareness for the charity Big Change. Big Change was set up in 2012 by Holly and Sam Branson and four friends to think differently about the role charity can play in driving positive change for young people across the UK. Big Change finds and supports early stage projects or charities that are rethinking the way of setting up young people in the UK so that they can thrive in life and not just in exams. To do this, rather than supporting one project or one idea, Big Change nurture a portfolio of cutting-edge projects providing skills, opportunities and support for young people to empower them to succeed. Big Change provides these project with seed funding, support, and connections to help them in their ambition to have an impact on the lives of the next generation.
Now Jan has asked me to reiterate that over the course of 5 days in September, Jan will be cycling nearly 750km (460 miles) at a maximum elevation of 7,740m so it’s definitely no holiday, and so… Jan is asking for all of #TeamJigsaw to dig deep into your pockets (past the moths in some cases), to help raise money for this fantastic cause via her Virgin Money fundraising page below:
Thank you in advance from Jan and the team at Big Change and remember, it doesn’t matter how small the donation is as ‘every little helps’ (Tesco®)
If you have any questions or queries or would like more information about the challenge head on over to the relevant websites using the links above and remember, don’t forget to reclaim Gift Aid!
